01What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser so it can remember you between pages and visits. Similar tools, such as local storage, work the same way, and this policy covers them too.
02Essential cookies
These keep LocalGenius working. You can't turn them off in the app, because without them you can't sign in.
- Sign-in: keeps you signed in to app.localgenius.com.au and protects your account.
- Security: helps stop fake requests and repeated sign-in attempts.
- Settings: remembers simple choices, like a panel you closed or a menu you collapsed.
03Analytics cookies
We use simple analytics to see which pages of our own site and app are used, so we can improve them. These numbers are counted in total, not used to build a profile of you, and never sold.
04Advertising cookies
The LocalGenius app does not use advertising cookies. If we run ads for LocalGenius itself on this public website, we will list the cookies here before they are switched on.
05Your customers' websites
Websites you build with LocalGenius set their own essential cookies, for example to run live chat or forms. If you add tracking tools to your own website, such as Google Analytics or a Meta pixel, you are responsible for telling your visitors and asking for consent where the law requires it.
06How to control cookies
Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies in its settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop you signing in to LocalGenius.
