A winter enquiry for a summer pool.

Kids in bed, heater on, Megan finds Tidewater's “Concrete pools in Sippy Downs” page. She sends a photo of the backyard and asks the question every pool builder hears in June: “Is it too late for this summer?” It lands in Luke's inbox with the photo, her suburb and the page she was on.

Luke replies with a link to his Pool designs page: concrete, fibreglass, plunge pools and the landscaping around them, each with a drawing and real builds. That night Megan and her husband pick on the couch. Concrete, with a sun ledge for the little one.

At handover on Friday, Luke taps Ask for a review and Megan gets a friendly text. Saturday afternoon she sends back a photo of the first swim, then leaves five stars. Next June, the family down the road searching “concrete pool builder” sees it beside Tidewater's name.

Do I have to write anything?

No. Tell us what you build and where, and LocalGenius writes your home page, a page for each pool type and a page for each suburb. Want something changed? Type it to Ask Genius, like “add plunge pools to my designs page”.

Can customers send me a photo of their backyard?

Yes. Your enquiry form can take a photo, and it arrives in your inbox with their message, suburb and the page they were on. Reply from your phone, send them a page, or start a quote from it.

A pool takes months. How do I keep people posted?

Add a photo and a line about the week, and Genius writes the post and adds the photo to your gallery and suburb page. You check it, then it goes out. Doing it from your phone on site is part of the app, which is coming soon.

Do my prices go on the website?

Only if you want them to. Most pool builders show their designs and real builds, then send a quote with their own items and prices after the site visit. GST is worked out for you.

Do posts go out without me seeing them?

Never. Posts are written for your business and the time of year, like booking a pool in winter to swim by summer, then wait for your OK. Once you approve, they go to Facebook, Instagram and your Google Business Profile.
