One worried owner, start to finish

Tuesday, 7:02pm. “My puppy just ate chocolate.”

Dr Kate runs Banksia Vets in Ashgrove, Brisbane, with Jess on the front desk and Mel looking after puppy school. Rachel has just moved to the area with Bundy, a 14-week-old cavoodle, and doesn't have a vet yet. Tonight he found her chocolate.

Banksia Vets, Dr Kate, Jess, Mel, Rachel and Bundy are made up to show how it works
7:02pmTuesday

She searches in a panic. Your Call button is the first thing she sees.

Rachel types what every worried owner types. Banksia comes up on Google showing "Open until 8pm", and your Urgent care page opens with one big button: call us now. One tap and Jess picks up. Your vets wrote what the page says, so it never tells anyone what to do at home.

A thank-you on Instagram becomes a new client.

Bundy's home and snoring. At 9:12pm Rachel messages on Instagram: can Banksia be his vet now, and when should he have his next needles? Jess opens the inbox, taps two saved replies, the Puppy vaccinations page and the Desexing page, and Rachel books Saturday 10am in the booking system you already use.

Puppy school has spots. Genius writes the post.

Mel snaps last term's class graduate (with his owner's OK) and drops it into Posts. Genius writes the words for Banksia, Mel reads it and taps Schedule. Rachel sees it that night and books Bundy in for the first Saturday.

First puppy class done. A review about the people.

Bundy's had his needles and his first class. LocalGenius sends Rachel a review request by text, asking about the welcome, the team and puppy school. Her review lands on Google, and your profile shows tonight's hours, the Call button and the puppy school post.

I rang in a panic one night when our puppy got into my chocolate. Jess answered straight away and was so calm. Now Bundy's a regular and loves puppy school with Mel. Lovely team.

Reply from the owner · Thanks Rachel! Bundy's a superstar. See you both next Saturday. Kate

Your pages

The page that answers, when the clinic's busy.

People don't search "veterinarian". They search "vet open now", "puppy vaccinations Ashgrove" and "how much is desexing". Each of those gets its own page, in your words, and you approve every one before it goes live.

    What vets ask us.

    $29.99 a month to start

Four plans, from a simple website to fully managed. Free domain for the first year.

    See all plans →
    Does LocalGenius take our bookings?

No. Your Book online button opens the booking you already use, like VetBooker, ezyVet or your current booking link. Appointments, records and reminders stay in your practice software.

Will Genius give pet health advice on our site?

No. Genius writes about your clinic: services, hours, parking, your team. Anything clinical, like your urgent care page, is written or checked by your vets, and nothing goes live until you approve it.

What does the site say after hours?

What you tell it to. Your urgent care page and Google profile show your hours and your after-hours number, or the emergency hospital you send people to. Change it from the app when it changes.

Most of our messages come in on Facebook and Instagram. Does that work?

Yes. Facebook and Instagram messages land in the same inbox as your website chat, forms, Google and email, each marked with where it came from, so the front desk can answer them all from one screen.

A pet's in trouble tonight. Be the vet they can call.

Get your clinic website up, then let LocalGenius look after the pages, the messages, the puppy school posts, the reviews and Google.
