One DM, one first-timer

Follow Ellie from one Instagram DM to her first reformer class.

Mia runs a small reformer studio in Coogee. Ellie is 34, loves the studio's reels and has never been on a reformer. This is how a nervous DM turned into a regular, with every step on Mia's phone.

“do you have beginner reformer classes?” The DM you get every week.

Mia was teaching the 7:30 class. Ellie's message landed in her LocalGenius inbox next to a website chat, a Facebook question and an email, each with the icon of where it came from.

  • Instagram, Facebook, website chat, forms and email in one inbox
  • Every message shows where it came from, so you reply in the right place

Mia answered with one link: the New to Reformer page.

Straight after class, from her phone. The page answers everything a first-timer is too shy to ask: what the springs do, what to wear, that she doesn't need to be flexible. Then it shows your intro offer.

  • A New to Reformer page and an intro offer page, written for your studio
  • Reply from your phone, between classes

Had never been on a reformer and was so nervous. Mia set my springs and talked me through everything. Three classes in and I'm hooked. If you're new, do Foundations!

Questions

Things studio owners ask us.

Something else? Email support@localgenius.com.au and a real person will get back to you.

Will it work with Mindbody, Momence or Fresha?

Yes. Keep the booking app you already use. Your Book buttons, timetable and intro offer link straight to it, so clients book and pay the way they always have. LocalGenius doesn't take bookings or payments itself.

Can I answer Instagram DMs from LocalGenius?

Instagram and Facebook messages land in one inbox with your website chat, forms and email. Each one shows where it came from, and your reply goes back to the same place.

What goes on the New to Reformer page?

The things first-timers worry about: what happens in a first class, what the springs do, what to wear, and which classes to start with. Genius writes it from what you tell us, and you can change any of it.

Do posts go out without me seeing them?

Never. Genius writes posts for your classes, teachers and the time of year, and each one waits for your OK before it goes to Instagram, Facebook and Google.

Someone's watching your reels right now. Give her a page that says start here.

Get your website up with a New to Reformer page and your intro offer, then let LocalGenius look after the DMs, posts and reviews that turn first-timers into regulars.
